Layzell Gyroplanes Ltd is the only manufacturer of single seat gyroplane ( or autogyro) kit complying with the CAA’s stringent BCAR Section T regulations in the UK.

Our history stretches way back to the pioneering days of home built aircraft and our CEO and Senior Engineer, Gary Layzell, has many years experience in gyroplane design and construction.

For many years we have been evolving the performance of the ‘Cricket’, a well-established single seat machine which is now known, less romantically, as the AV-18/a (in open frame guise) and the podded variation as the AV-18/b.

Last year we were delighted to have acquired the ‘Merlin’ into our stable, another high-performance, high-quality podded single seater, expanding our inventory and offering the pilot lots of options from a single source.

Our kits are manufactured to the highest level of quality and components are machined for precise and easy construction. Only the highest quality, aircraft grade materials are used in the manufacturing process, and every part is rigorously inspected prior to acceptance.
